SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION

What is Scalp Micropigmentation?

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is an a non-invasive treatment that creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles to your hair, giving the illusion of thicker and fuller hair. Not only that, scalp micropigmentation is also good for:

Using your natural features, we rebuild your hairline as a team. This is perfect for Male Pattern Baldness that has reached a more advanced stage.

  • Hair Density
Creating the appearance of a denser head of hair by combining pigment and real hair. Perfect for diffuse thinners.

  • Scar Camouflage
Effectively camouflage any natural or surgical scars you may have on your scalp.

  • Alopecia
SMP can create the appearance of follicles where there are none - perfect for somebody suffering from alopecia.

The treatment is performed using a tattoo machine with various micro-needles  for depth and definition to give a natural look. We use SMP pigments designed specifically for the scalp.

    Pre-Treatment Procedures

    • Avoid any supplements or medications with blood-thinning effects such as Advil, Midol, Fish Oil, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, etc. for 48 hours leading up to the appointment as it may increase pain sensitivity and excessive bleeding.
    • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before the appointment as it can affect excessive bleeding and worsen the pain.

    • Moisturize your scalp, preferably with a water-based moisturizer. This is especially important if you suffer from dry skin as skin flaking can remove some of the pigments deposited after the first session.

    • Make sure to shower before your appointment and arrive with dry hair. You will not be able to wet them for 3-10 days.

    • If you are required to shave/ cut your hair, please make sure to do so before your scheduled appointment as we do not offer any hair cuts.

    Post-Treatment Procedures

    • 1 to 3 days: Keep your scalp dry for 3 days. That means no water or sweating, avoid saunas and swimming. and working out. You could wear a hat as longs as it's clean and comfortable to not irritate the skin. NO cutting or shaving hair.

    • 3 to 9 days: You might begin washing your scalp with warm water (no soap). You may exercise lightly as long as you do not experience heavy sweating. If you have excessively oily skin or sweat, take a clean paper towel and pat your head to prevent the sweat from pooling. You can start cutting your hair with clippers again but be gentle.

    • 10 days forward: You may resume to your normal routine. Try to use sunscreen, or avoid direct sun on the scalp, as well try to avoid as much as possible swimming in a pool as it contains too many chemicals and this could accelerate the fading process. You can cut your hair as normal and keep moisturizing daily.

    Allergies

A patch test is optional and can be done for a cost of $50. If you decided to do a full treatment, the amount will go towards the cost of the full treatment.
